Worrying is among the most common faced problems today and many people suffer because of it. Worrying may not necessarily have a cause. It can also be a habit and not a good one to have. It increases anxiety levels, blood pressure, mental and physical stress and other health related issues.

There are many people who gives advice of not to worry to others but are the advisors actually able to remove worry from their minds is the real point. Sharing 3 Tips to stop the worrying and start the living using some thought provoking and extremely practical and useful ideas.

Tip #1 : Show factual picture to mind about the worry:

Whenever I used to travel by train, was always worried about missing the train. I started having nightmares that I had reached the station and missed the train. This fear used to give me sleepless nights till I boarded the train. There were thoughts around that If I miss the train, how will get the next train. What if missed on an important test or assignment as stakes can be very high ?

I was always taking full precautions by leaving home at time and reaching at least an hour before the train arrival but somehow was not able to get over the anxiety. To overcome it, applied fact-based approach to worrying which means analysing the data about my worrying. I checked that how many times in the past have missed a train.

Answer is zero. I had never missed the train. So, what I was worrying about had actually never happened.
I explained to my mind (Yes, I really did this) that look this is the fact and there is no point worrying if probability of a miss is zero basis historical data. You can stop chanting missing the train till it happens and you have every right to worry from the day I actually miss a train
Since that day I stopped worrying about the train miss and mind also stopped worrying. Actually once convinced mind adopted a new habit of not worrying. I have not missed the train or plane till date.
Lot of times we worry about things which don’t exist and showing a factual picture to our own mind can help to overcome anxiety and tension. So, stop the worrying to start the living.

Tip  #2: Live for Today

If you feel worried anticipating the future, then there is little you can do about it because future will be a combination of what you can control and what you cannot control. One technique that can be done is to live for the day and take one day at a time.

Forget the future what it will do improve your control by putting focus only on today and pending things for today. It will allow you to focus on present and mind will focus on task at hand and it will take away all your worries

Tip #3:  Think about others

One of the prime reason for worry is when one thinks that what will happen to me. This lead to mental stress and tension because you become fearful of the consequences if something wrong happens with you.
Best way to handle it is to turn it around and make it from inside to out. Instead of thinking about yourself, start thinking about others and what challenges they are facing. Is there any way you could help them to overcome their challenges ?
This change in thinking will change the focus from self to others which will help you become less self conscious and stop the worrying.

These 3 tips are practical tips which I have implemented in my own life and shared with many others to come out of anxiety and worry. So, stop the worrying and start the living !
