Failures are essential part of life and they can easily bring you down. At the moment of failure, you feel down and out and in these moments of despair, it is very easy to lose hope of success.
And your behavior and attitude during these critical moments determine the difference between success and failure.
Don’t give up despite repeat failures is the key to achieve success.
Qualities of courage, full devotion and never say die spirit are required to achieve the goals.
Sharing a real life personal story which inspired me to Don’t give up despite repeat failures
Once I was in a market and saw a roadside salesman selling toy helicopters.
Toy helicopter was very fascinating to watch as helicopter flew from salesman hands upon pulling the string. It flew like a real helicopter.
I bought a toy helicopter for 6-year-old son to play from that roadside salesman.
I Brought it home and told my son look I will show you how it works.
Then I pulled the string multiple times but now it was not flying the way I saw it in the market. I thought may be committing some error while operating the helicopter
So, I tried multiple times but failed every time. It was not easy to accept my own failure in front of my son.
Now, my mind started blaming external circumstances for this failure
I thought that this helicopter does not fly and a defective item has been given to me.
Finally gave up trying and kept it on the table and told my son that this helicopter does not fly.
Son was silently and keenly observing my efforts.
He did not say anything. He simply picked up the helicopter from table and then tried himself to fly the helicopter.
He also failed similar to me but kept on trying.
He tried more than hundred times but could not make it fly that day
But I was surprised to see that he slept at night with helicopter in his hand.
Next day after waking up in the morning, first thing he did was again trying to fly the helicopter.
He again tried many times but I could not see him succeed.
I did not say anything to discourage him and got busy with my work.
In the evening he came to me and confidently said look I will show you something.
He took the helicopter in his hand, pulled the string and wow helicopter was flying!
I was shocked and could not believe my eyes but yes now it was flying the way I saw it on the roadside with the salesman.
I realized that son did not believe my statement that helicopter does not fly.
Rather he believed that if it is a helicopter then it is supposed to fly and there is no reason that why it should not fly.
This story gave me an important lession that if we are fully committed and devoted to our goals then we should not get upset by the setbacks but keep on trying till we succeed in achieving our goals.
Believe fully in what you do and don’t give up despite repeat failures.
Be resilient to bounce back every time things don’t work.
