I replied in affirmation.
He started reading CV and spoke line by line key responsibilities, achievement and skills mentioned.
I was glad that interview is going in right direction and will be asked more about CV which was well prepared
Then Interviewer said that no doubt your Profile is impressive and you have done good work but it does not match with our requirements.
Then he explained in detail that how skills and experience mentioned in CV are not what they are looking for and profile is not of much use for them.
Interviewer told me in such a convincing manner that I also thought for a moment that what he is saying is right and my profile is not suitable and relevant to their requirement.
Battle was over without me getting an opportunity to fire a single shot.
Then interviewer said that now tell us why should we take you?
I thought that don’t know about the final result but need to tell them something which is super impressive else my chances are already over.
Recalled past years of preparation and work experience and it prompted to reply to question in such a way that it is fully justified that why should they take me
And then I spoke about achievements, skills and strengths, tough situations handled and challenges overcame.
Value I bring in and difference I will make and what and how can contribute towards the results of the organization.
(Actually, had prepared and rehearsed for it. So, speech was effortless)
And at the end of it found them impressed.
They asked few more questions and interview was over.
Finally, was selected in the organization and this interview was a great experience.
